**This page is supposed to be under the "Tournaments" category but this website stuff is confusing.**
Registering for a Tournament
1. Familiarize yourself with the tournament's schedule, cost, location, and gain confirmation from your partner and whoever will be judging for the tournament's duration. Hired judges must be confirmed two weeks before the event.
2. Fill out a google form saying that you are 100% sure you want to go. Do not register through Tabroom. However, do have a Tabroom account linked to the school; this is a prerequisite to attendance. Both you and your parent must fill out the entirety of the form, and it must be filled five days before the tournament's online registration deadline, found on Tabroom. If you are using multiple judges, write in who is judging which day; you can only split judges by days, not time.
3. You will recieve confirmation after filling out the form if you are registered, or alternatively, on waitlist information or judge conflicts. Send required forms (e.g. waivers) to Manvi.
4. Pay tournament fees under the "my transactions" page on this website; captains will provide information on judge payments. You must pay within 24 hours of recieving registration confirmation.
Other Notes
Fill out the ethics waiver: Required before attending any tournament.
Read the tournament invitation: Find all information about the tournament on Tabroom; it is especially important to familiarize yourself with all details if the tournament is in-person. Judges may be required to attend judge training. Rules differ for all tournaments, please know them before competing.
Strikes: Some tournaments have deadlines for judge and topic strikes.
Dropping out: If you have any conflicts, let a captain know as soon as possible; regardless of whether or not you are sure you cannot attend. Judges cannot quit during a tournament or after registration deadlines unless extreme circumstances permit. Judging is a binding responsibility and you will be responsible for a fee if your judge drops out.
Partners: Text a team group chat, or ask Brier/a captain if you don't have a partner for a tournament. Tournaments labelled "NYPDL" allow one entry per school to maverick, also known as going without a partner.
Tournaments not listed: If a tournament is not listed, contact a captain if you want to go.
